Mountain Bike Trails
In & Around Bloemfontein
Mountain Biking is a major sport in Bloemfontein. Due to our overall dry and sunny weather, it is an activity you can do throughout the year.
So if you are a big sports enthusiast be sure to bring along your bicycle to enjoy some of our easy to high-technical routes. Most free of charge.

STUCK IN THE MUD
Situated between Makro & Langenhovenpark. Great trail for beginners to advance. If it has rained for a while, might be a good route to avoid.

HAPPY VALLEY
Conservation Area situated in the city, en-route to Oliewenhuis Art Museum. Steep Cline, ideal trail for intermediate to advanced riders.

LOCHS HOEK FARM
Situated on route to Kimberley, about 12km from Makro. Great Technical Trail route.
R20 entrance fee.

BRANDKOP CONSERVANCY
Conservation Area situated at the back of Pellisier or left of Makro. Great for beginner to advanced riders.

7 DAMS
Situated close to Pentagonpark & Northridge Mall. A great technical trail for intermediate to advanced riders. Unfortunately, you will need to pay an annual membership fee of R240, to be able to get into this gated conservation area.

NAVAL HILL
Nature Conservation Area situated in the heart of the city. You can view quite a variety of wildlife for free. Steep Cline, ideal mountain biking training area for competitions and other bike events.
